By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- apply different listening strategies according to context,
- listen efficiently by, for example, distinguishing between important and unimportant information,
- listen accurately by, for example, recognizing elements of natural connected speech,
- better understand natural spoken English.
the course is taught over 3 weeks, with 2 sessions of 2 hours each week. This allows participants to put into practice what they learn in each session and then build on that knowledge in the following session.

- There will be out-of-class tasks after each session and a final project at the end of the course.

La asistencia presencial de al menos un 80% del curso es un requisito imprescindible para la obtención del certificado del curso, independientemente del motivo que lo provoque, ya sea justificado o injustificado. El control de presencia será realizado por parte del equipo docente del curso.
La anulación anticipada de la participación en un curso no supone nunca una penalización para poder ser seleccionado en otro.
The course builds on and puts into practice many of the elements seen in parts 1 and 2 of Understanding Natural Speech. Nevertheless, it can be taken as a stand alone course.
The sessions are highly practical and students are introduced to the theory through the use of both studio and authentic recordings and videos.
- After each session participants will be given specific tasks to complete which build on and reinforce the content of the relevant session.
- At the end of the course there will be a mini-project for participants to hand-in, which brings together the most important aspects of the course.
